The Ball :: A Laban Bodyshape

A Sea Potato or Sea Urchin. The spines drop off when it dies.

Finally part two of our body shapes series. This time I show you our "round" finds and my kids' interpretation of this shape.

At the moment, the Ball shape is my favorite one. I find this form very relaxing as it helps me to rest for a second from the everyday busyness that can be draining me from time to time.

Additionally, this form might be the right thing to do during the dark and cold season we have ahead of us. Curling up the body surely creates warmth and reminds us that it's time for tranquility and contemplativeness too. These are the qualities the Ball Shape represents to me.

Ball- like
is rounded and surrounds or fills space. This involves curling up the whole body, especially the spine.
